In addition to the damage caused to the environment by raising livestock, traditional leather processing also uses a large amount of hazardous chemicals, which causes considerable harm to the environment.

Nowadays, environmental awareness has gradually penetrated into the hearts of the people, and people have begun to consciously resist environmental pollution! In order to alleviate the increasingly serious environmental problems on the earth, various countries have introduced relevant laws to prohibit the production and sale of traditional non-degradable polymer materials such as leather and plastic, encourage green and environmentally friendly consumption, and develop sustainability plans.

This is why we often hear the term “biodegradable leather” recently. As the name suggests, it refers to materials that can be naturally decomposed and metabolized by bacteria and other microorganisms in the environment, and will not cause pollution and waste to the environment.

We are currently developing a 100% biodegradable, environmentally friendly material made from fruit waste/plant skins and algae using advanced material engineering techniques. As an alternative to genuine and synthetic leather, this new textile is both beautiful and durable and has a wide range of uses.
